The Federal Republic of Germany retained the Albanese Organization to develop 871 United Nations Plaza, a 23-story granite and glass clad tower that houses their United Nations Mission, Consulate General, and Information Center. As development manager for the German government, the Albanese Organization’s assignment included complete development, administration, supervision, and commissioning services. Working closely with German officials and numerous consultants, the design team created a building that meets stringent security, life safety, energy efficiency, health, and comfort requirements.
